When long-established Tamworth company Precision Technologies was looking for access to finance and help with staff development, they turned to the team at Tamworth and Lichfield for Business.
The company, which started life in Tamworth in the 1960s, is a burgeoning concern and, with a new managing director at the helm, is creating more new jobs over the next few months.
Precision Technologies manufacture components for a range of sectors, including motorsport, automotive, aerospace, precision tooling, medical and oil and gas. And as the company continues to grow, they are now also focusing on expanding into the nuclear sector.
“For companies such as ours, business support is not always easy to find,” says Precision’s quality assurance consultant Paul Killeen. “What we loved about working with Matthew and the team at Tamworth and Lichfield for Business is that they offer a wide range of support under one roof.
“Anything we need we can find through one point of contact, and the fact that they are on our doorstep means meeting up is easy too. They offer a vital service – there’s a strong team in place so whatever the nature of your enquiry, there is someone there with the expertise to help.
“They understand the business landscape, they are used to dealing people at a range of companies across a variety of sectors and I’d encourage other companies in Tamworth and Lichfield to speak to them – the service we have had is first rate.”
The Tamworth and Lichfield team were able to signpost the Precision Technologies’ management to finance options that were available to them via their contacts, as well as helping with their staff development.
“Business support is out there but all too often it’s fragmented – phone lines, helpdesks and so on. There is one of that when you deal with Tamworth and Lichfield for Business, which is another plus for us,” added Paul.
Precision Technologies is on the cusp of exciting times – as well as setting their sights on the nuclear industry, they are also talking to a number of household name motorsport companies, including Formula 1 teams.
The company manufactures high precision components for a number of industries – all to very specific limitations, and they export to more than 30 countries around the globe.
The workforce of almost 60 will expand as the company continues to grow over the next few months.
